Common Issues and Troubleshooting
Section titled “Common Issues and Troubleshooting”Problem: Calendar Doesn’t Show in the Widget
Section titled “Problem: Calendar Doesn’t Show in the Widget”Symptom: Calendar doesn’t display in the Vaam widget
Solution: Microsoft offers two different types of booking calendar solutions, and only one can be embedded in Vaam. Make sure you’re using the correct link type:
BookWithMe Links (Cannot Be Used)
- Format:
https://outlook.office.com/bookwithme/user/[user-id]@[domain]?anonymous&ep=plink
- These links cannot be embedded in iframes or widgets
- Microsoft does not allow BookWithMe links to be displayed on other websites
Microsoft Bookings Links (Can Be Embedded)
- Format:
https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/[calendar-name]@[domain]/bookings/
- These links support iframe embedding and will display correctly in Vaam widgets
Problem: Calendar Appears Blank
Section titled “Problem: Calendar Appears Blank”Symptom: Widget space shows but no calendar content
Solution: Verify that the Bookings link is publicly accessible and doesn’t require authentication
Alternative: Using Buttons Instead of Widgets
Section titled “Alternative: Using Buttons Instead of Widgets”If you only have access to BookWithMe links and cannot get a Microsoft Bookings link:
- You can still include your booking calendar by adding the BookWithMe link as a button in your Vaam video
- Recipients will be redirected to Microsoft’s booking page when they click the button
- This is less seamless than an embedded widget but still functional
