Manual Steps
If you want to add manual steps in your Vaam sequence, you have a few different options for doing it on LinkedIn and email.
LinkedIn Manual Steps
Section titled “LinkedIn Manual Steps”- Go to the specific step in your sequence.
- Switch off “Automatic” in the top-right corner of that step.
- The step will now become “Manual”.
Pro tip: Add a starter text template so you can quickly copy, paste, and personalize before sending.
Email Manual Steps
Section titled “Email Manual Steps”- In your sequence, press the ”+” button where you want the manual step.
- Choose “Manual Task”.
Pro tip: Add a starter email text template so you can copy, paste, and then personalize.
When the Sequence Reaches the Manual Step
Section titled “When the Sequence Reaches the Manual Step”- A task will show up in your Task list: https://app.vaam.io/tasks.
- Complete the task manually (e.g., send the LinkedIn message or email).
- Then press “Mark task as completed” so that the sequence continues to the next step.
Using Manual Steps as an Approval Gate
Section titled “Using Manual Steps as an Approval Gate”Manual steps are useful when you want to review messages before they go out — for example, when you’re testing a new sequence and want to QA the first few sends before letting them run on autopilot.
Place a manual step directly before any automated send. The sequence pauses there and waits for you to review and trigger the next step from your Task list. Once you’re confident the sequence is performing well, you can switch the steps back to automatic.
