Vaam product FAQ

The questions people ask most often when they evaluate Vaam. For the product in plain language, read What is Vaam?.

Vaam is a sales outreach automation platform. You build a sequence of steps — LinkedIn connection requests and messages, emails, personalized video, and manual tasks — and Vaam runs it for every prospect you add.

B2B sales teams that run their own outbound prospecting, from a single seller up to a full sales team. It fits best when your buyers are reachable on LinkedIn.

An outreach tool. Vaam records and personalizes video, but the video is a step inside a sequence. If you compare Vaam to a screen-recording tool, you are looking at one feature rather than the product.

LinkedIn, email, and video, in the same sequence. Manual steps and phone-call steps create a task for you instead of sending automatically. See Combine LinkedIn and email in one sequence.

Vaam has native CRM integrations with HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Upsales, which sync your prospects and your outreach activity.

Salesforce and Salesloft receive video activity only — video opens, views, and conversions — and do not sync prospects or sequence steps.

See Integrations for what each one does.

Will Vaam stop automatically when a prospect replies?

Section titled “Will Vaam stop automatically when a prospect replies?”

Yes. When a prospect replies on LinkedIn or by email, Vaam pauses that person’s sequence and creates a task in your task list. Nothing more is sent to them until you open the task and choose Continue sequence or End sequence. Vaam’s AI reads the reply and suggests which of the two fits.

How many LinkedIn invitations can Vaam send per week, and can I control the limit?

Section titled “How many LinkedIn invitations can Vaam send per week, and can I control the limit?”

LinkedIn allows roughly 100 connection requests per week, and Vaam is built to stay under that. Two settings control your volume:

  • Tempo — under Settings → LinkedIn Settings you can pick Safe, Standard, Aggressive, or Custom. Safe keeps daily activity well inside conservative limits and is the right starting point for a new or quiet account. Standard, Aggressive, and Custom need LinkedIn Premium; without Premium your account stays on Safe. See Keeping your LinkedIn account safe.
  • Active prospect limit — by default you can have 400 prospects active at once in sequences that contain LinkedIn steps, which matches roughly 400 connection requests a month. Extra prospects wait in a queue instead of starting. See Active prospect limits.

Vaam also spreads activity across your working hours with human-like pacing rather than sending in a burst. See LinkedIn scheduling.

Vaam pauses on purpose in several situations, and each has its own page:

If sends have stopped and you cannot see why, start at Sequence sends not going out.

How do I know whether an agent is working, paused, or stuck?

Section titled “How do I know whether an agent is working, paused, or stuck?”

Open the agent in Agents. Its status is either Active or Paused, and a paused agent does nothing until you make it active again.

For an active agent, the tabs tell you where its prospects are. Pending means Vaam is still working on them — either Waiting for profile details while it loads the full LinkedIn profile, or Checking audience while it compares the prospect to your audience settings. A batch can take minutes to hours, because profile loading runs through your LinkedIn account at a safe pace. Accepted, Rejected, and Errors show the finished outcomes.

An agent that appears stuck usually has a paused status, or a LinkedIn connection that is no longer authenticated. See About Vaam agents.

Can I connect an email account on my own domain, or only Gmail and Outlook?

Section titled “Can I connect an email account on my own domain, or only Gmail and Outlook?”

You can use your own domain, as long as the mailbox runs on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Vaam signs in through Google or Microsoft, not through the domain name, so you@yourcompany.com works on either provider. A mailbox hosted elsewhere cannot be connected, because Vaam does not support plain IMAP or SMTP. See Integrations.

Can I import email addresses, phone numbers, and LinkedIn URLs from one CSV?

Section titled “Can I import email addresses, phone numbers, and LinkedIn URLs from one CSV?”

Yes. When you upload a CSV you map each column to a Vaam property, so one file can carry all three. Vaam previews the result before the upload is confirmed. See Add prospects via CSV.

Can I get Vaam activity and contact history into my own CRM through an API?

Section titled “Can I get Vaam activity and contact history into my own CRM through an API?”

Yes. Vaam exposes an MCP interface that an AI assistant — or your own code — can call to read prospects, sequences, tasks, and activity, and to make changes. See AI assistants (MCP) and Available tools. For pushing events out as they happen, a sequence can also include a webhook step.

Vaam paces LinkedIn activity to look human: business-hours scheduling, variable timing, gradual ramp-up, and rate limits that stay under LinkedIn’s thresholds. The largest remaining risk is going too fast too soon, which is why new accounts should start on the Safe tempo. See Keeping your LinkedIn account safe and How Vaam uses proxies.

See Plans and pricing for how the plans, the 14-day trial, and billing work, and vaam.io/pricing for the current numbers.

Can a person help me get started in a 10–15 minute onboarding call?

Section titled “Can a person help me get started in a 10–15 minute onboarding call?”

Yes. Vaam offers a short onboarding call where a real person walks you through connecting LinkedIn and email, building a first sequence, and adding prospects. Ask for one from the chat inside Vaam.
