Pausing a sequence
You can pause outreach in Vaam without cancelling it. Use this when you want to stop sends for a while — for example, a summer break from June 15 to August 10 — and pick up exactly where you left off when you come back.
Pausing is manual. There’s no built-in scheduled pause, so you start and end it yourself.
Pause an entire sequence
Section titled “Pause an entire sequence”This stops all prospects currently on the sequence.
- Go to the Sequences list.
- Open the actions menu on the sequence you want to pause.
- Click Pause sequence.
To resume, open the same menu and click Activate sequence.
Pause for a single prospect
Section titled “Pause for a single prospect”Use this when you want to stop outreach for one person while the rest of the sequence keeps running.
- Open the Prospects view (or the Prospects tab on a sequence).
- Find the prospect, open the action menu, and click Pause.
- To resume, open the action menu again and click Resume.
What happens while paused
Section titled “What happens while paused”- Scheduled steps are held — they’re not skipped or cancelled.
- New steps will not fire until you resume.
- The sequence remembers where the prospect is. When you resume, outreach continues from the next step.
Common scenarios
Section titled “Common scenarios”- Holiday or vacation break: pause the whole sequence before you leave and activate it again when you’re back.
- Prospect is on leave or asked you to follow up later: pause for that single prospect, then resume when the time is right.
- You’re not sure about a sequence yet: pause instead of cancelling so you can review and tweak it without losing the prospects already on it.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Cancel a sequence — for ending outreach permanently rather than just pausing it.
