Authenticate with LinkedIn
To automate LinkedIn actions such as connection requests and messages, first authenticate Vaam Outreach with LinkedIn.
Choose a LinkedIn authentication method
Section titled “Choose a LinkedIn authentication method”You can authenticate with LinkedIn in two ways:
- Chrome extension (easiest): This method uses Vaam’s extension to log you in.
- Email/Password (most stable): Log in with your email and password on LinkedIn.
Choose the method that fits your account.
Use the Chrome extension
Section titled “Use the Chrome extension”When you use LinkedIn, the extension keeps you logged in with Vaam and lets Vaam perform requests on your behalf. This method may be less stable because LinkedIn does not favor this way of maintaining login status.
If LinkedIn logs you out or Vaam cannot perform tasks, use the email and password method below.
Use the email and password method
Section titled “Use the email and password method”This method uses your LinkedIn email and password to log in through Vaam. It provides a stable connection with minimal interruptions to your automations.
- Open your Vaam Outreach Settings
- Select “Email/Password” in the Login method dropdown
- Click ”+ Add LinkedIn Account”
- Follow the instructions on the screen
The login process may include these verification steps:
- SMS
- LinkedIn’s mobile application
- Image captchas
Follow the instructions on the screen carefully so the login completes smoothly.
