Archiving a sequence

Archiving removes a sequence from your Sequences list without deleting it. Use it when a sequence has served its purpose and you want to keep its setup as a base copy.

Archiving is an alternative to deleting. Deleting a sequence cancels every prospect still on it and cannot be undone. Archiving does neither.

Archive a sequence

  1. Go to the Sequences list.
  2. Open the actions menu on the sequence you want to archive.
  3. Click Archive.

The sequence leaves the list and pauses.

Find and restore an archived sequence

When you have at least one archived sequence, an Archived button appears at the top of the Sequences list with a count next to it.

  1. Click Archived to see the archived sequences.
  2. Open the actions menu on the sequence you want back.
  3. Click Restore.
  4. Click Show active to return to your normal list.

A restored sequence stays paused. Open the actions menu and click Activate sequence when you want it to send again.

What happens when you archive

  • The sequence pauses, and every prospect on it pauses with it. Nothing is cancelled.
  • Prospects keep their place. When the sequence runs again, each one continues from the next step.
  • The sequence stops appearing when you pick a sequence elsewhere in Vaam, such as when you add a prospect or set up an agent.
  • Reports and prospect history are unchanged. You can still open the sequence by its link.

This is the same pause described in Pausing a sequence, so the rules there about resuming also apply here. When you restore a sequence and activate it, Vaam starts as many prospects as your active prospect limit allows and queues the rest.

Common scenarios

  • Archive sequences from earlier campaigns so the list only shows what you run now.
  • Archive a sequence you built carefully, then clone it when you need the same structure again.
  • Archive a campaign after the season ends and restore it when the season comes around again.
