Combine LinkedIn and email in one sequence
Yes — a single Vaam sequence can use LinkedIn and email together. You do not build one sequence per channel and try to keep them in step. You build one sequence, add the steps you want in the order you want, and Vaam runs them for each prospect.
Which steps can I put in one sequence?
Section titled “Which steps can I put in one sequence?”- LinkedIn — connection request, message, profile visit, and liking or commenting on the prospect’s post.
- Email — an email sent from your connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox.
- Video — a recorded video message, which Vaam can personalize automatically for each prospect.
- Form — a quick form sent as part of the sequence.
- Manual task — a step that appears in your task list instead of sending automatically. See Manual steps.
- Webhook — a step that notifies another system. See Webhook step.
- Wait — a delay before the next step, counted in business days, so a weekend does not shorten the gap.
Why mix channels?
Section titled “Why mix channels?”A LinkedIn-only sequence stops at the connection request. An email-only sequence has nothing to fall back on when the address is wrong. Mixing them gives you a second route to the same person, and lets the sequence react to what happened on the first route.
A typical shape looks like this:
- LinkedIn connection request.
- Wait for the invitation to be accepted.
- If accepted — a LinkedIn message, then a personalized video.
- If not accepted after the wait period — an email instead.
Step 2 is a real branch, not a fixed delay. See Waiting for invitations for how the two paths are configured.
Does the sequence stop if the prospect replies on either channel?
Section titled “Does the sequence stop if the prospect replies on either channel?”Yes. A reply on LinkedIn or by email pauses that prospect’s sequence and creates a task for you, whichever channel the reply came in on. Nothing else is sent until you open the task and choose Continue sequence or End sequence. See What happens when someone replies to your messages on LinkedIn.
Does a mixed sequence count toward the LinkedIn limit?
Section titled “Does a mixed sequence count toward the LinkedIn limit?”Yes. Any sequence that contains at least one LinkedIn step counts toward your active prospect limit, even if most of its steps are emails. An email-only sequence does not. See Active prospect limits.
Do I need a different sequence per language?
Section titled “Do I need a different sequence per language?”Only if you write to prospects in more than one language. See Sequences per language.
