Automatic personalized video
Add an automated personalized video to an email or LinkedIn message while you edit a sequence.
Add an automated personalized video
Section titled “Add an automated personalized video”While editing a sequence in Vaam:
- Select the plus button to add a video.
- Select Vaam video.
- In the first segment, select a camera-only video. This short video shows only you, not your screen. It should be 10 to 30 seconds long.
- Turn on “Generate personal video for every prospect.”
- Select the screenshot source: LinkedIn or website. Vaam uses it to take a screenshot from your prospect’s LinkedIn profile or website and personalize the video.
- Choose a title for the new video, such as “[Video] to [First Name]”.
- Decide if you want to combine the video with a second part. This could be a demo where you talk from your website. This video should be 1 to 2 minutes long. The second part cannot be a video that is already combined with another video. See Combine two videos.
- Select “Save.”
When a message cannot get its video
Section titled “When a message cannot get its video”Before Vaam sends a LinkedIn message with a {vaam} or {video} tag, it waits until the personalized video for that prospect is ready. Vaam pauses the sequence for the prospect when the video cannot be made:
- The video configuration for this step is wrong. Check the sequence: add a video to the step or remove the video tag, then resume the sequence for the prospect.
- The personalized video for the step is not available.
- Vaam cannot take the screenshot of the prospect’s LinkedIn profile two times in a row. When you resume the sequence, Vaam tries the screenshot one more time.
You can also send the message to the prospect yourself.
When the website source fails
Section titled “When the website source fails”If you use website as the screenshot source, Vaam needs to open the prospect’s saved website to build the video. Two problems can stop this step for a single prospect without affecting the rest of the sequence.
- No website is saved. The task list shows “Info missing” for that prospect.
- The saved website can’t be opened. The task list shows “Website could not be opened” together with the website that failed. The same message appears in the review dialog and in the prospect’s timeline.
Fix it
Section titled “Fix it”Open the task for that prospect and choose one action:
- Add a working website and select “Use updated info” to try the step again.
- Select “Skip step and continue sequence” to move on without this video.
- Select “Cancel sequence” to stop outreach to this prospect.
After you add a working website and try again, Vaam creates the video automatically. This covers a video Vaam has not made yet. If you had already asked Vaam to make a video again for a step, add the working website first, then ask Vaam to make that video again. Vaam does not repeat that request for you. If a prospect waits more than 14 days with no fix, Vaam cancels the sequence for that prospect automatically.
