Renaming a sequence
Rename a sequence whenever its name no longer tells you what it does. The name is the only thing you see in the Sequences list, in reports, and in the picker when you add a prospect, so a clear name saves you time later.
Rename from the Sequences list
Section titled “Rename from the Sequences list”- Go to the Sequences list.
- Open the actions menu on the sequence you want to rename.
- Click Rename.
- Type the new name and click Save.
Rename while you edit
Section titled “Rename while you edit”- Open the sequence in the editor.
- Click the sequence name at the top of the page.
- Type the new name and click Save.
You can also change the name under Options in the editor. All three places write to the same field.
What the new name changes
Section titled “What the new name changes”- The Sequences list, the sequence page, and the sequence picker show the new name at once.
- Prospects on the sequence keep their place. Nothing pauses, starts, or cancels.
- Messages already sent are unchanged. A sequence name never appears in a message.
- A share link keeps working. The name updates for anyone who opens the link.
Prospects you added before the rename keep the old name in the Sequence column of your prospect lists. Vaam saves the name on each prospect when you add them, so that column is a record of what the sequence was called at the time. Prospects you add after the rename show the new name.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Cloning a sequence: make a copy, then rename the copy.
- Archiving a sequence: take an old sequence out of the list instead of renaming it.
