Video security FAQ
This page answers security questions about video content. See the Vaam product FAQ for questions about the product itself.
How access to video content is authenticated
Section titled “How access to video content is authenticated”Video access has two levels:
- Create, edit, or delete content: Your login authenticates this access. You can log in with an email and password, Google, Microsoft, or GitHub.
- View content: Anyone on the internet with a unique video link can view the video. Vaam creates links randomly, so they are unguessable. Web crawlers do not index them.
How video content in the service is protected
Section titled “How video content in the service is protected”Anyone with a unique video link can access the video. The video content is protected because the links are not publicly accessible.
Is it possible to create logs and track persons accessing the data in the service?
Section titled “Is it possible to create logs and track persons accessing the data in the service?”No. Vaam logs and tracks internal access to specific data, but it does not provide this functionality to users or customers.
