Monitor new company followers agent

A Monitor new company followers agent watches a LinkedIn company Page and adds people to a sequence as they start following it. Use it to turn ongoing interest in your own, a partner’s, or a competitor’s company into prospects.

Use a Monitor new company followers agent to

Section titled “Use a Monitor new company followers agent to”
  • Reaching people as they start following your company Page.
  • Building a continuous stream of prospects from a partner’s or competitor’s growing audience.
  • Following up quickly, while the person’s interest in the Page is still recent.

Have these ready:

  • The LinkedIn company Page you want to monitor for new followers.
  • Page admin access on the connected LinkedIn account. Vaam can read a Page’s followers only through an account that administers that Page.
  • An active, non-template sequence that is ready for new prospects.
  • Your standard audience, or a custom audience for this agent.

LinkedIn school and showcase pages are not supported.

Set up a Monitor new company followers agent

Section titled “Set up a Monitor new company followers agent”
  1. Go to Agents, click Create Agent, and select Monitor new company followers.
  2. Enter an agent name and select the target sequence.
  3. Paste the LinkedIn company Page URL, or the admin URL you see as a Page administrator.
  4. Choose which connection degrees to include, or select All connections.
  5. Turn on Require approval if you want to review prospects before they enter the sequence.
  6. Click Next, then use your standard audience or customize it for this agent.
  7. Click Create Agent.

The agent first checks that the connected LinkedIn account can read the Page’s followers. While it checks, it shows as pending.

Once access is confirmed, the agent records the Page’s current followers as a baseline. Nobody is added to the sequence at this point, even if the Page already has many followers. The baseline is only the starting point. While this is happening, the agent shows as baseline.

If the Page has no followers yet, it still gets a baseline. Nobody who already followed the Page before the baseline was recorded is added retroactively; only people who follow the Page after that point count as new.

After the baseline, the agent checks the Page again on its normal schedule. Each check applies your connection-degree and audience choices to people who followed since the last check. It then either adds matching people to the sequence or holds them for approval. Checking the Page shares your daily LinkedIn limit with your outreach and uses the same human-like pacing.

This agent has no end point. It keeps watching the Page until you pause, archive, or remove it.

If Vaam cannot access the Page, or loses track of new followers

Section titled “If Vaam cannot access the Page, or loses track of new followers”

The connected LinkedIn account must be an administrator of the Page you monitor. If it is not, the agent stops with a no access status. Vaam cannot read the Page’s followers because the connected account is not a Page administrator.

Vaam also checks its own work as it monitors a Page. If it cannot safely tell which followers are genuinely new, it stops the agent rather than risk adding the wrong people and shows a needs restart status.

For both situations, and what choosing Resume does in each case, see Fix Company Page follower access.

You can turn on an email or browser notification for the access case under Settings > Notifications > Company Page access blocked.

  • Pair a Monitor agent with an Import company followers agent on the same Page to reach people who already followed it before you started monitoring.
  • Use prospect approval while you learn how relevant a Page’s new followers are.
  • A Page that rarely gains new followers may go a while between additions to the sequence. That is expected.

The company Page and target sequence are read-only after the agent is created. Create a new agent to change them.
